Hey, how’s life?

Quite some time has passed by since the last time i shared a picture with you and a lot of things have happened. Don’t want to bore you with all my ups and downs so i willl just skip that and get to the photography part… OKÉ, i hope you are sitting down in a chair or on the couch with your tablet, phone or behind the computer, doesn’t matter as long as you are sitting down… I switched from the Canon 5D markIII to the Sony A7R (i did keep all of my Canon lenses 😛 ). It has been a couple of months ago since i switched and i needed some time to get familiar with the camera but i really, really like it. But why the switch??? The dynamic range, less weight, 36mp sensor and the ability to still be able to use my Canon lenses in this combination at a really fair price, made me switch and this picture of the MSC Splendida with a part of the skyline of Rotterdam is the first result i am posting online with the use of the Sony A7r and the Sony Zeiss 24-70 f4 attached to it.

The cool story behind this picture is that the MSC Splendida was not supposed to be coming to Rotterdam, but because of the bad weather they decided to dock in Rotterdam instead of Amsterdam. Thanks to a colleague at work i heard that the ship was in Rotterdam and it was going to leave the next morning. So there was no time to waste to capture this nice shot….

Hope you enjoy this picture and if you have got any question on how this picture was post processed, feel free to ask.
