This is an image of a Common Spoonbill (Platalea leucorodia). I took this picture in 2013 in Blijdorp Zoo in Rotterdam on a overcast day with the intention to create a high key image.  The bird was in focus and the exposure was good. The only things that were ruining the picture was the blurred fence and a pigeon in the background. As always i imported my pictures into Lightroom and did my lens correction and chromatic abberation correction. Then i adjusted my black and white point and corrected the color balance. After importing the picture into Photoshop CC, i got everything that i did not want in my picture out of the way and made some small final adjustments. There it was, the picture which i already envisioned in my mind, a high key common spoonbill.

Let me know how you feel about altering an image to your needs/satisfaction, i am very interested in your opinion about this subject.

Thanks and i hope to hear from you!
